Introduction:

 With the advent of the marriage season, there is a great demand for one person- The Astrologer or Panditji. This is because he will Match the horoscopes and pass judgement as to whether a prospective bride or bridegroom is marriageworthy. If he finds something wrong in the chart , the marriage does not take place and if he gives the green signal the marriage is solemnised. So , what is this match - making of horoscopes?

Meaning:

 Match making is the process by which the prospective bride's and bridegroom's horoscopes are assessed for:
- physical ( sexual ) compatibility
- mental compatibility
-their combined ability to give birth to an offspring and
- Mangal Dosh.

 This process is carried out by :
1.Computation of Gunas or Kutas ( points):

 The minimum gunas that must be obtained is 18. If the gunas are less than 18, the match is considered unfavourable.

2. Evaluation of the Mangal Dosh:

 Meaning of Mangal Dosh: A person is said to have Mangal Dosh, if Mars is posited in the 12th, 1st ,4th , 7th or 8th house in the horoscope. A person who has the above placements of Mars is also called a ‘Manglik'.

 Importance of Mangal Dosh: It is said that a Manglik must get married to a another Manglik or a person with Shani ( Saturn ) in the above mentioned positions.

 MYTHS SURROUNDING MATCH MAKING OF CHARTS :

 Having understood the basic grammar of match making , let us examine some of the myths and misconceptions surrounding match making:

1. If a Manglik marries a non-Manglik , the person who is a non-Manglik will die:

 This is one of the most encountered and most baseless myths about Mangal Dosh. For a person to die after marriage the following factors would come into play:
-The person is fated to die only after marriage.
-The person should have a short life .
-The lady getting married to such a person should be fated for widowhood.
- The person should be fated for no married life .

It is only if all these factors come into play simultaneously, then would the person die. Can only one Mangal Dosh cause death??!! Seems illogical.

2. A Manglik will either have a late marriage or a broken marriage:

 This is another falsity about Mars. We must understand that Mars is only 1 of the 9 planets that form part of the horoscope. Late marriages or broken marriages can be caused by Rahu, Ketu and Shani also. If a non-Manglik marries a Manglik ,then that person's fate and progress are stalled: This argument is mostly put forward by men who unknowingly marry a Manglik girl. Just because their horoscope is weak and they are not able to achieve in life , the blame is put on the wife's chart and the Mangal dosh. The reality is that every persons individual chart is the most important.

 Yes it is true that your spouse's stars will influence you, but they cannot alter your fate.

ADVANTAGES OF MATCH MAKING:

 Though match making is plagued by some false myths , there are some merits to it:

1.Insight into a person’s personality:
 The horoscope helps reveal the entire personality of an individual in a very unbiased manner. For example the horoscope will reveal -the person’s intellectual level , person’s sex drives, person’s attitude towards life .
Hence the examination of horoscope would reveal wealth of information about the prospective bride or bride groom.

2. Horoscopes help find the right personality matches : 

This can be explained with the help of few live examples:

 A lady client of mine wished to get married to a prospective bridegroom. Form her chart I knew she was:
- Very aggressive
-Business minded Independent and
-Wanted to continue working after marriage.

 The boy’s chart revealed that he was:
-Slightly orthodox -
-Business minded Not very aggressive
- Obsessed with having a child.

I revealed these observations to my client , who did not get married as their personalities did not match. ( Their gunas were 24 and their Mangals matched!!)

 A typical case came to me where the boy and girl were madly in love with other. However , THEIR MANGALS DID NOT MATCH AND GUNAS WERE 14. The parents were highly reluctant to go ahead with the marriage as they were told that one of them would die.

The charts revealed that they were made for each other and there was no problem whatsoever. I managed to convince the parents for the marriage. They are happily married with 2 children!!!

Drug addiction and astrology

Meaning of drug addiction:

 Drug addiction maybe defined as a condition characterised by compulsive drug intake, craving and seeking, despite what the majority of society may perceive as the negative consequences associated with drug use. Drug diction has begun to raise its ugly head with alarming regularity targeting today's younger generation with cocaine, LSD, crack , ganja,and other addictive substances. How is one to fight this beast?

 Astrology can throw some light on the psychological mechanism at work and help in early detection of drug addiction.

Astrology and drug addiction:

 The above definition may be broken down into the following components for better understanding:

1.compulsion craving and seeking
2. complete lack of fear as to the consequences of the drug intake.

 The horoscope is a map of an individuals propensities and mental makeup. It gives us an insight into the personality and distinctive traits that define an individual. If an individuals chart does possess propensities or exhibited tendencies towards compulsion or pleasure seeking , he is more prone to getting into drug addiction.

 The Grahas or The Nine Planets:

 Prominent among the many Faces of God stand the Nine Grahas of Jyotish. Though they are usually called ‘planets' in English, the Nine Grahas are much more that giant balls of matter. To comprehend what these Nine Planets mean to Jyotish, it is necessary to know something of the nature of the word that describes them.

 ‘Graha'(seizer) comes from a Sanskrit root meaning ‘ to grasp or catch hold of' which can mean both a sense organ and hand(‘which physically grasps and grips'). When you can ‘get a grip', you can make good use of what life offers you. Just as you, the individual, can grasp the objects in your external environment, other varieties of graha can get a grip on your internal you.

 The Nine Grahas which are the Nine Planets of Jyotish are the Nine Chief Masks of Reality, the Nine Greatest of the Graspers. The Nine Great grahas are the nine major personalities which arise from the primordial images which populate the world of the mind, images that resemble the archetypes that Carl Jung described. The patterns created in the horoscope by the Nine Planets indicate the form and intensity of the images that will be created within the horoscope's owner, whether he or she is aware of them or not.

 How do the The Grahas work?

Your destiny is the sum of your past actions and the Nine Planets see to it that you reap without fail, what you sow, for that are the Executive Officers of the Law of Karma which is the Law of Action and Reaction. Each graha acts on you according to his own unique job description and the sum of the graha-vectors aimed at your awareness can sometimes cause highly original deviations from the path you had planned to tread.

Meaning of Remedies or Upayas:

 A HOROSCOPE IS A MAP OF AN INDIVIDUAL'S KARMAS, DRAWN TO THE SPECIFICATION OF THE NINE PLANETS Astrologers read this map to discover in which directions success can come effortlessly and which areas life will will be filled with pitfalls

 Upayas or remedies are the means through which an individual aligns and attunes himself or herself with the pure essence of the Universal Principles that are the Nine Planets. As stated above the Nine Planets, tend to create their images in an individual according to their respective positions in the horoscope.

 The task of the Upaya is to manipulate these images either by- Overwhelming them with healthier images, by strengthening our own self-image or Creating a healthy relationship between the person's self-image and the image of the graha.

 A partial list of upayas includes-

1. the recitation of mantras,
2. the wearing of specific gemstones or other objects,
3. the observance of fasts and other vows,
4. specific acts of charity and the worship of fire.

 How do upayas work?

 There is considerable disagreement as to the mechanism by which the upaya delivers it's goods. Some authorities feel that upaya-derived effects develop mainly through faith. When an individual establishes an upaya ritual and follows it with full faith, fully believing in it's effectiveness, his own self-image will be strongly reinforced. Others would have it that since every action has some effect which may or may not be readily traceable to it's cause, it is the effect produced by the act of performing the upaya that causes it's result, in the same way that the fluttering of a butterfly's wings in the Amazon may create a typhoon in Taiwan. India's Mimamsa philosophers, for example, are among those who go so far as to deny any need for faith in action. Mimamsa doctrine teaches that every properly performed Vedic ritual is bound to produce it's desired effect, regardless of the performer's state of mind at the performance time.

 How to undertake upayas?

Some upayas can be undertaken on behalf of others who are incapable of acting on their own behalf. In such circumstances the intention of doing it for the other person, must be clearly kept in mind, so that the results accrue to the right person. In general, however,upayas must be personally performed by the individual who desires the result and must be done with honesty and exactitude. Only when you have tremendous desire will you be able to change your destiny. In most cases, the goal behind the upaya, and the upaya itself when possible must be kept a secret to prevent other people from generating obstructive energies that might disturb the process.

 CONCLUSION:

 In conclusion, it maybe summarised that the effectiveness of an upaya would greatly depend on the proper guidance and help of an experienced and seasoned astrologer. The astrologer must provide sound rationale and guidance to the clients and not leave them in a lurch. 

Power of Muhuraths ( Auspicious times )

THE SCIENCE OF MUHURATHS

 Introduction: Many of us are familiar with the old proverb ‘ Well begun is half done '. The true significance of this statement can be appreciated when one looks at electional astrology or what is commonly called auspicious times or MUHURATHS. What many people are not aware of is that electional astrology is one of the six limbs of Jyotish or vedic astrology.

 Meaning of Muhuraths: 

Muhuraths are nothing but special planetary configurations ,which have been designed ,to ward off the impediments or blockages ,that may occur in the progress and success of any venture, may it be marriage or beginning a new business.

 We would be surprised to know that there are muhuraths for everything from uttering the first words in a new born baby's ears to the making of a will.

Rationale behind Muhuraths:

 What is the logic or reason behind these auspicious times AND why should one follow them? The logic is two fold :-
1. The muhuraths are an important object of free will. One is free to choose a good time to commence an activity and hence reap better benefits. The simplest example is of a seed ( the proposed activity )and the seasons.( time of commencement). The best seed sown in the wrong season ( like scant rainfall) will give average results. However an average seed sown in the right weather will produce better than expected results. Muhuraths give us the best seed and the best weather which will logically produce magical results.

2. The second logic is that of VIBRATIONS. Each muhurath possesses a special vibration which must be taken advantage of. Certain times possess bad vibrations and hence should be avoided.

 Importance of Nakshatras:

The central pillar in the study of auspicious times is the daily movement of the Moon.We also need to understand Nakshatras , if we want to understand electional astrology. Nakshatras are the bright stars and asterisms , some of which are , visible to us in the night sky. Though there are many asterisms to be found in astronomy, we are concerned only with the 27 constellations of Jyotish. Each of these constellations has a specific vibration and strength depending on which the Muhurath is decided.

 General guidelines for deciding muhuraths:

- The constellations Krittika, Bharani, Purvashada, Magha, Moola , Ashlesha are considered INAUSPICIOUS for any constructive activity. These constellations have certain negative vibrations and hence are avoided.

- The tithi is the lunar day . The new moon day, the 4th, 8th, and 14th lunar days are not recommended for any muhurath. Some communities also avoid all commercial activities for the 15 days prior to the first day of Navratri . This period is also called " SHRADDHA".

-Buying and wearing new clothes: The nakshatras Ashwini, rohini, Pushya, Hasta , Chitra are the best. Monday, Thursday and Friday are considered good.

-Buying gold and jewellery: The most auspicious nakshatra for this purpose is PUSHYA. It is the most powerful nakshatra and can be used for all activities, EXCEPTING MARRIAGE.

-Entering a new house: The nakshatras Ashwini, Pushya, Rohini, Swati and Chitra are recommended. Monday, Thursday and Friday are recommended.

- Time for marriage: The best nakshtras are Rohini, Chitra, Swati, Anuradha, Hasta and Revati. The lunar months of Magha, Phalguna, and Vaishaka are good. The best lunar days are 2nd,3rd, 5th,7th,10th,11th of the bright half.

 Conclusion: We must make use of the potent weapon of muhuraths and make our lives happier and more prosperous. 

Importance of shraddha (pitru paksha)

In India, the period of 15 days commencing from 9th September  to 24th september, this year ,  is commonly called pitru paksha. In this period it is desirable to perform 'shraddha'.

 The word ‘pitru' loosely means dead ancestors and relatives. Paksh is one moon cycle of 15days. Hence pitru paksh means the fortnight that belongs to our relatives and ancestors who are physically not present with us. It is the period in which we should remember and thank our departed ancestors and relatives.

 Let us further understand shraddha in form of questions and answers:

Q1  What is the logic behind shraddha?

 Ans . There are many reasons for performing shradha but the primary reason is based on Hindu philosophy. According to Hindu philosophy , the soul never dies . It is immortal and only changes forms. It will either take rebirth or obtain Niravan. The performance of shraddha rites helps the soul to move forward in its spiritual quest. It is spiritual nourishment for the hungry souls of our ancestors.

 Q2   How to perform shraddha ?

Ans. There are many shradhha rites which the Brahmins can perform. But the most important ingredient is your complete faith and belief in this process. It is desirable to make donations of food and clothes in the name of your ancestors.

 Q3   Which other pujas can be performed in this period?

 Ans: The important pujas in this period are Narayanbali for people who have died suddenly or in accidents or whose families are cursed. Nagbali can be performed if one has recurring snake dreams or one has accidently killed a snake.

Q4   What if you do not know when your ancestor has died ?

Ans : If you do not have the exact date of yours death , then you can perform shradha on 24th september 2014 , which is also called SarvPitri Amavsya. This will surely help you receive blessings from your departed ones.

Q5. Does performing shraddha really work?

Ans : An often asked question is that does this really work? Do dead people come and accept our food? How do we know it has worked?

Many people have asked me that what if the brahmin has just fooled us ?

Well my answer to all these questions is two fold-

A. Faith

You must have some faith in yourselves and the scriptures that this does work. Our ancestors really do wait for our shraddha and do appreciate it . Our loved ones do look out for us and bless us all the time.

In this period we share our gratitude with them and thank them for their blessings. The mechanics maybe different but the objective is the same - TO CONNECT WITH OUR DEPARTED AND THANK THEM.

Different countries and cultures follow the same ritual in different ways.

B. Experience

Many people and clients who regularly perform shraddha have reported very intense experiences like-

1. Seeing the departed soul in front of your eyes.
2. Feeling the touch of the loved one.
3. Actually feeding the departed soul with one's own hand
4. Crying spontaneously on performing shraddha


It is fare to say that we must pay our respect and gratitude to our elders in this pious period.

How planets affect your health

 There is a specialised branch of astrology that deals with the planets and the influence they have on your health.
It is called medical astrology.

 Simply stated medical astrology is the use of basic astrological principles and percepts to help detect and alleviate physical and mental ailments or disorders.

 It helps detect :

- The diseases one is prone to. Egs heart attack , asthma, kidney stone etc.

- The operations that one might have to undergo.

- The chronic ailments that one might have to suffer for a long time. Eg arthritis. 

ORIGINS: 

Though it would be difficult to directly pinpoint the true origins of medical astrology, an indirect and more powerful reference source is available to us.

 Many of us would be surprised to know that Ayurveda ( the science of Longetivity ) has had strong linkages with medical astrology. Research has shown that Ayurveda is in practice from at least 5th Century AD. There are numerous writers who in their ayurveduc treatises have described the utility and importance of astrology and lucky charms , talismans etc.

 To name  a few:

- Caraka in his Caraksamhita has alluded to the importance of medical amulets, fasts, offerings, penances and jewel talismans.

- Susruta in his Compendium has referred to the necessity of ‘ a lucky astrological conjunction' for the proper use of Soma. 

-Sarngadhara in his Compendium talks about omens and messengers with regard to the treatment of patients.

BASIC PRINCIPLES OF MEDICAL ASTROLOGY:

  A. The 12 houses and the corresponding body parts:

 1st house or ascendant stands for the head and sometimes the face.

 2nd house governs right eyes, throat and speech ( important for people who stammer) 

 3rd house governs right ear, shoulder, trachea. 

 4th house governs chest,lungs, and heart. 

 5th house governs liver , gall bladder, spleen. 

 6th house governs anus and kidneys. 

 7th house governs uterus, bladder, ureters, ovaries 

 8th house governs external genatalia and sexual characteristics 

 9th house governs femoral arteries and thighs 

 10th house governs knees and sometimes the back 

 11th house governs left ear, left shoulder

 12th house governs feet and left eye.

 B. Planets and the diseases they cause:

- SUN : palpitation, weak eyesight, fevers etc 

- MOON : menstrual disorders, mental aberrations, diseases of uterus.

- MARS: wounds, high blood pressure, burns and epilepsy.

- MERCURY: excessive sweating, impotence, leucoderma, diseases governing nervous system and brain. 

- VENUS: weakness of sexual organs, venerial diseases, kidney troubles. 

- JUPITER: jaundice, vertigo,liver diseases and obesity 

- SATURN : paralysis,arthritis, cancer and other tumors.

 DIAGNOSIS OF DISEASE THROUGH THE HOROSCOPE:

 While evaluating a horoscope medically, the following factors are kept in mind:

- The placement of the ascendant ( ie lord of the first house). 

- The house in which there is a congregation of planets. 

- In which nakshtra is the person born?

- Are there any relations between lords of houses 6,8 and 12.

- Is there any dominant element in the persons horoscope. Eg if all planets are placed in Aries and Leo, it means that the fire element is dominating. Such a person could be prone to hyperacidity, acne or headaches.

- Which dasa(ie period) is the person going through? 

Conclusion:

 It would not be unfair to say that the horoscope is another stethoscope! 

The Evil Eye

 Introduction:

 ‘Kisi ki nazar lag gai hai ’ is the common refrain we get to hear from our elders or grandparents when we keep on falling ill or things don’t seem to go right. Many mothers still use the ‘kala tikka’ (black mark) to prevent their beautiful girls from falling prey to the EVIL EYE.

What is this evil eye? Is it merely our superstition or does it truly work?

Meaning:

 The evil eye is the name for a sickness transmitted -- usually without intention -- by someone who is envious, jealous, or covetous. It is also called the invidious eye and the envious eye. The evil eye belief is that a person -- otherwise not malefic in any way -- can harm you, your children, your home, or your family , by *looking at them* with envy and praising them. The word "evil" is unfortunate in this context because it implies that someone has "cursed" the victim, but such is not the case. The history of the evil eye is quite old and is found in a number of cultures and countries like Italy, Siberia , etc.

How does the evil eye work?

 In order to understand the anatomy of the evil eye we have to understand three very fundamental concepts :

1.The power of the Human Eye
2. Elementals.
3. The Human Aura.

A. The power of the Human Eye:

 From ancient times we have heard and read of the human eye. Most mystics and Seers have asserted that it is beyond an organ of seeing. THERE IS DEFINITELY SOME EMANATION FROM THE HUMAN EYE. This is one of the reasons which explain hypnotism. How many times have you been able to feel that some one is staring at you even when you are not looking? Quite often isnt it! Well this is working demonstration of the power of the eye. Now this gaze can be either negative or positive depending on the person and his inner self.

B. Elementals:

 The concept of elementals is very old and discussed mostly by Theosophists and Mystics. An elemental is nothing but a thought form which we create and give life to. However it does get a life of its own and is produced between the two eyes. The thought or desire which produces it can be positive ( like wanting a car or home ) or negative ( jealousy ,envy , greed ). Once an elemental is produced it is released between the eyes and goes and attaches itself to the desired object or person. Thus in one day we produce millions and millions of elementals. If they are good they will help and if they are negative they play accordingly.

C. The Human Aura:

 It has now been scientifically proved via Kirlian photography that we possess an aura that surrounds us. The colour of the aura tells us about the state of the individual and his health and state of spiritual development. This aura is very sensitive to thoughts and feelings of other people and would respond accordingly.

 Working example of the Evil eye:

When you new born baby girl is taken out wearing a nice frock and ribbon, many people exclaim ‘SO PRETTY! I wish my girl was so chubby and nice’. After some time your girl will fall sick!!
Three things are happening: the persons eye is gazing at the child very intently. The picture of the girl in the persons eye is creating a negative elemental of envy and desire. This negative elemental is immediately released. This elemental then attaches itself to the girls aura. The negative elemental punctures the girls aura and makes her sick.

However one needs to keep in mind the fact that everytime your child falls sick , it need not be evil eye! The child be be geuinely unwell or may have caught an infection.

Even though, the evil eye is not an astrological concept, the horoscope plays an important part in assessing vulnerability and propensity.

I always maintain that our birth chart is a map of our propensities and potentials. It helps pointy out if we are prone to or vulnerable to an ailment - physical or spiritual.

1. Rahu:

Rahu is considered the master of the black arts and bestows magical powers. Rahu always
Plays an important role in the evil eye. People with a weak Rahu , bad moon and weak Sun can be prone to evil eye.

2. Moon:

The moon is the most impoprtant player in the game and its position and strength are vital.
A strong moon with powerful Sun or Jupiter rule out evil eye.

3. 8th house:

The 8th house of the chart stands for the hidden or occult forces.

Example:

In order to explain all the three above - a weak moon with Rahu in the 8th house of a chart would indicate trouble with evil eye.

Please remember this is simple example for explanation. All other factors have to be taken into account before passing any judgement on the evil eye.

 Different cultures and religions have their own prescribed ways of dealing with the evil eye.
One of the most commonly used mechanisms are amulets and talismans.
An amulet is a device that is designed to protect the wearer from baneful and malefic influences whether human or inhuman.

 The most commonly used amulets are:

 1 the horseshoe hung at the entrance of doors
 2 the Swastika is considered a powerful protection device.
 3 Even Ganesha is considered powerful enough to drive away malefic influences.

 Conclusion:

 From the above discussion, one may still debate the evil eye and its powers . However there is no denying its existence.

The Mystery of Kal-Sarpa Yoga

Most of us have had the horrid experience of going to an astrologer and the astrologer declaring that we have something very bad in the horoscope called ‘ Kal - Sarpa Yoga'. The astrologer goes on to say that if a particular pooja is not performed at Nasik , then we are doomed!

What is this this Kal - Sarpa yoga?

Kal means ‘Death' and Sarpa means ‘ Snake'.

 Simply stated a Kal - Sarpa Yoga is formed when all the planets are hemmed between Rahu and Ketu. This means that in a Kal Sarpa only one side of the horoscope has all the planets between Rahu and Ketu. It very nearly looks like a snake in it's formation. It is said that Rahu is the Mouth or the Face of the Snake and Ketu is the Tail of the snake.

 Kal - Sarpa Yoga has been given this name because  it is caused by the two principal mischief makers Rahu and Ketu and it resembles a snake in it's formation.

 Manifestations or Symptoms of Kal- Sarpa:

 Some of the most common manifestations of Kal - Sarpa are:

A. Repeated dreams involving snakes.
B. Dreams of being chased or thrown down from a cliff
C. Snakes being found in the house.

 Destruction of Kal - Sarpa:

 There are many instances where the Kal - Sarpa present in the horoscope gets broken or destroyed ( bhanga ) due to other astrological combinations. HENCE IT IS ALWAYS NECESSARY TO FACTUALLY VERIFY WHETHER A PERSON IS SUFFERING FROM KAL SARPA ,BY ASKING HIM ABOUT HIS DREAMS.

 Please always believe in FACTS and not in illusions. It is possible that a person has kal sarpa in the horoscope but it may have got broken.

 Remedies for Kal- Sarpa:

 The greatest remedy for Kal- Sarpa is the worship of Lord Shiva. However in extreme cases it would be prudent to have a Shiv - Ling installed in the house with the appropriate mantras. Please do remember that after the worship the problem of snakes must come down substantially. If not then the remedy would have to be changed.

 Case histories:

1. A family of five come to me and declared ‘ Our Pandit told us that we all have Kal - Sarpa due to which we are having problems in the house . We went to Nasik and got the puja done. However nothing has worked !! '.
 A close examination of the horoscope revealed that only the father had Kal - Sarpa Yoga in the horoscope which too had been broken.
 The actual problem was with their house which had a Vaastu - dosh. On shifting their residence all their problems disappeared.

2. An elderly lady met me the other day and complained ‘ I do not get sleep in the night and I always get snakes in the dreams. ‘ The horoscope revealed a strong Kal-Sarpa Yoga for which I advised Shiv worship. Even after that things did not recede and hence a large Shiv Ling was installed in the house with the appropriate mantras. She was also given special mantras to ward off her fears.

 Realities of Kal-Sarpa:

 Kal-Sarpa, if manifest, in the horoscope can cause immense trouble while sleeping and staying alone in homes and needs to be rectified. Kal-Sarpa is always not bad. Some of our prominent personalities have Kal-Sarpa yoga in their horoscopes. Going to Nasik or Trambakeshwar is not the only solution for this Yoga. It would be determined on the basis of the horoscope as to which remedy would work.

 Conclusion:

 It maybe concluded that Kal-Sarpa is no reason for getting paraniod. Please factually verify if you have Kal-Sarpa in your chart. 

Astrology and the Supernatural

Introduction:

 Many a times we hear of miracles. People escape from accidents. There are sole survivors in plane wrecks. Some patients survive complicated and tedious operations. Were they fated to survive?  A serious student of astrology is always taught that there is : 80 % FATE and 20% FREE WILL. Now let us concentrate upon this 20 % free will.

 In this context it means the power of :

 1.curses
 2.blessings and
 3 prayers.

 These 3 above mentioned factors CAN and DO change our lives.

1. Curses:

 If we browse through most of the religious scriptures or famous doctrines we shall find a curse that has changed the course of the story. We are always told not to trouble our parents because if they curse us WE ARE DOOMED. Curses can single handedly change your fate and over ride your fate and stars.
 Hence do not:

A. deliberately harass your parents or
B. harm or injure animals or
C. cause disrespect to elderly people.

2. Blessings:

 The complete opposite theory applies to blessings. It is said that a single powerful blessing can burn away thousands of bad karmas. The best source for blessings are your parents and elders. However , blessings have to be from the heart and not artificial or induced by money.

3. Prayers:

 The power of prayer can rescue you from the mouth of death. It is said that the word of God is more powerful than a thousand injections and medicines. Science has now discovered that prayer healing has tangible healing effects on hospitalised patients. A strong prayer from someone who loves you can change the course of your life and take away all your miseries.

The disposable era has arrived. Today everything is quick , fun and disposable- right from eye lenses to relationships. Being monogamous is passe. Having an affair after marriage is trendy! Does the horoscope show or indicate extra marital affairs or flirtatious propensities? Well , it certainly does and it also reveals the reasons for the affair.

Anatomy of an extra martial affair:

 An extra marital affair generally takes place due to the following reasons:
 1. Unsatisfied sexual needs
 2. Incompatibility of personalities
 3. Lack of intimacy
 4. Boredom
 5. Peer pressure ( all my friends are having affairs so why shouldn't I?)

 Most of the people who meet me for consultations confess about having an affair or of being attracted to the opposite sex. My experience shoes that: Women tend to be guilty about such relationships while men don't care.
 80% of women flirt because their husbands treat them like dirt while 90% of men just want to have variety in sex. Women also tend to get emotionally attached to the other partner knowing that they will not divorce their current husbands.

1. Venus: the planet of love and lust. The primary driver for exotic relationships is venus. If you have a venus with mars or a hyper active venus you are sure to flirt! However a venus with uranus can make you a sex maniac or a pervert who has affairs to satisfy his/her sexual obsessions.

2. Jupiter ( guru ) : the planet of goodness and religion. It is only when you have a weak jupiter would you think of an extra marital affair. Your conscience does not bite you and you feel you have done nothing wrong! A strong guru will prevent flirtations.

3. The 5th house : the 5th house stands for love , romance , scandals and is the primary indicator of affairs. The classical combinations for such relations are - venus -rahu in the 5th or mars venus in the 5th house.

4. The 7th house: the 7th house stands for marriage. A strong 7th house means that you will never have affairs because you are devoted to your husband.

5. The 8th house : the 8th house indicates sexual attitudes, orgasm , masturbation etc. The 8th house indicates whether the affair will be physical or not.

 Predicting extra marital affairs:

 Is it possible to predict when you will have an affair or when your current affair will break off? Absolutely! With the proper charts, the following can be easily and fairly accurately predicted:

Introduction:

"Mere pe kisi ne kuch kar diya hai" is the usual complaint one hears from people facing unexplained problems. People are now beginning to face black magic and its ill effects. But is there really something like black magic? Does it really work ? And if it does work , how does one counter it? Let us explore the topic.

What is black magic? 

In order to understand black magic, one must learn and understand magic. Magic is as old as mankind itself. The history of magic shows that it existed in egypt, rome, India, China, Arabia, Tibet etc. A simple definition of  magic is that it coerces spiritual beings or forces. Magic tries to manipulate the spirits- or impersonal spiritual forces seen as flowing throughout nature- mechanically , in  the same way that one uses electricity by turning it on or off. 

According to available literature there are two types of magic white ( natural ) magic and black or demonic magic. Black magic is also a critical part of sorcery and  sometimes of witch craft. Whenever magic is intended for the harm or for the detriment of a person , or home or nation  it turns black.. Black magic uses talismans, spells, incantations and evocation of spirits. 

Hence it is intent and the motivation which seperates the two forms of magic. White magic is also very old and is used for curing diseases, blessing people etc. when the intent is for personal gain or wealth or causing harm to to others , magic becomes black and evil. 

How does black magic work?

The mechanism of  black  magic works on 2 simple principles viz:

1.      The human aura: 

The human aura is always the first object of attack for a practitioner of black magic. Hence one hears and reads that a tantrik uses hear or clothes of the person which contains the essence of the aura. 

2. powerful  visualisation:

The black magic practioner has developed the art of powerful visualisation which is transmitted to the person my making a doll or wax replica of the person involved. It is also called the Law of Correspondences and hence what is performed on the doll , really happens to the person concerned. 

Can black magic be detected from the birth horoscope?

There are definite interlinkages between astrology and black magic. The horoscope is a device which indicates propensity to black magic. Hence certain combinations in the chart do make a person more prone to the ill effects of black magic. These combinations are:

- moon and rahu in the 8^th house or

- a severe kal sarpa yoga with moon and ketu in the 5 th house

- excessive planets in the 8^th or 12^th house. 

Symptoms of black magic:

Most of the times people confuse bad events with black magic or acts of sorcery. The most common symptoms to  look  out for in case of  black magic are: 

1.      Objects  such as uncut lemons, sindur , or human shaped dolls being found in the house.

2.      Bout of unexplained sicknesses which yield no medical explanation

3.      A sense of uneasiness or heaviness in a  particular section of the house.

4.      In certain cases strange sounds, or  voices may be heard. 

Even in the above mentioned cases, there must be a thorough rational examination of the events  before one jumps to black magic. Hence a  succession of bad events can be an astrological influence if one is passing through a bad phase or fate period. 

Black magic  v/s  superstition:

In most cases people confuse black magic with a string of bad incidents involved. Please do not mix apples with oranges. ONE MUST RATIONALLY AND INTELLIGENTLY eliminate all options before coming to the conclusion of black magic. DO NOT FALL PREY TO PEOPLE WHO SCARE YOU WITH BLACK MAGIC REMEDIES. 

Remedies for black magic:

After having confirmed that one is a victim of black magic, the simplest thing to do is use simple amulets to protect oneself and the home. The nature of the amulet would be dictated by the religions inclinations one has and believes in. For example the Hindu would benefit from a Swastika, the Christian from the Cross and the Muslim by the words ' Allah Akbar' .
The amulet derives power from your faith in your God. The Egyptians believed in the Scarab or even the Cat.

Conclusion:

There is an unseen world of sprits and  other powerful entities. Generally they don’t interfere with our world if we don’t interfere with them. There are professional sorcerers who undertake to cause harm or detriment but we must remember 'AS YOU SOW SO SHALL YOU REAP'.
